Puzzle 4 - "Freestyle 1"

Hello, my fellow thespians!

I had no ideas to make into a puzzle. So I followed through and made a themeless, as mentioned in last month's post.

This one has a lot of references to internet culture, with a few of my interests sprinkled in. I tried something different with a 70-word triple-stack puzzle, and I thought the fill was pretty good for an attempt at it.

HIGHLIGHTS:

SPOILERS AHEAD

15-Across: I never really watched the channel, and didn't know about it until the last day.

17-Across: Originally was going to clue this as TommyInnit, but i feel it would've made the corner more difficult as a whole
32-Across: I'm like not THAT good at this game, but I've beaten Luna's high score in Return Challenge, and also dominate her in basketball

48-Across: Lando is not gonna win the WDC this year, because Mercedes has an absolute rocket ship of a car and McLaren is just late to the party, it seems like.
54-Across: Shout out to my AP Seminar teacher that always mentioned ethos, pathos, and logos when telling us how to write our papers
55-Across: This entry gets five big BOOOOOOOMS!!!
9-Down: The first DP video I watched was "Ping Pong Trick Shots 2" which funnily enough, was renamed to "WORLD'S LARGEST Pringles Can Shot"

27-Down: Surprised I haven't seen this in a puzzle yet
30-Down: Know Your Meme

Hopefully whoever solved this one enjoyed it, and hopefully I can get one done next month.

Puzzle #3 - "That Sounds Right

Good morning... or afternoon... or night, idk. This is the third puzzle on my blog!

I had this theme in my notes for a LONG time and I decided to make it into a blog puzzle. It isn't the tightest, but I think its a fun one.

This one I thought was too easy and simple (and maybe even loose) of a theme to submit anywhere, but hey, who cares. My puzzle, MY RULES. Also, sorry for the references that the general public won't get, there were a lot of fun entries I could clue to my own liking, meaning, my interests.

HIGHLIGHTS:

STOP right there if you DONT want spoilers.

1-Across: Another splatoon reference!!!! You'll see that this is a common theme between Luna and I, This is definitely a fun clue as it references an idol from the game but also the sunken scrolls!
4-Across: Here's the Family Guy clip
14-Across: So sad I didn't get to go on this while it was operating, but hopefully I can if it gets relocated
35-Across: Yes! Daytona and Indianapolis have two main courses, and INDYCAR races on both of them! Two different events, the road course and the oval (used for the Indy 500).
1-Down: Thanks to MatPat for all the Game Theory videos he made on FNaF
2-, 4-, 6-Down: I noticed that all three of these entries can be clued as ["Dude"] but just with different tones! Very interesting
9-Down: I always am so good at this game
32-Down: Singapore is Luna's favorite F1 race, and I'd like to go there but its just expensive :(
48-Down: I never really watched this show, but I always saw my brother watching it, I grew up more with like, Sid the Science Kid or Oswald (remember those)

A lot of F1 and racing references in this one, and with the return of F1 from it's summer break this weekend, it seems appropriate. 

I might do a themeless next month, or a 21x, not sure. Stay tuned!

Puzzle #2 - "Make Believe"

 Hello!!!! This is my second blog post/puzzle. 

This one I made for my birthday !!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 (It was actually yesterday). I am a bit late in posting this and only finished this in like 2 days-ish, hence the mediocre fill.

I knew I wanted to do a puzzle at least every month, and especially on my birthday in July. I wanted a simple theme to commemorate it, and this is what I came up with. While it isn't super tight, you are basically making a WISH with each start of the theme entries

HIGHLIGHTS:

Spoilers ahead if you don't wanna be spoiled about the puzzle. 

18-Across: I loveeee hidden picture puzzles, esp Where's Waldo. I used to have the Highlights magazines with the hidden pictures, and I loved them

20-Across: Obviously, my blog partner and real-life partner. Very glad to have them with me, and not just playtest the puzzles for the blog, but everything else
49-Across: I would say I am more street smart than book smart, as I've realized that I feel I have done worse in school over the years, but maybe that's just because I haven't been trying as much

56-Across: While I am not a Chaeyoung bias, I am a very heavy TWICE stan (Dahyun-biased) and really wanna go to a concert of theirs, yet they literally JUST ended their 5th world tour yesterday. 😭

61-Across: I really only like this one because it has my name in it (self promo). But I will eventually be one in the coming years
66-Across: I went to Universal's Epic Universe recently and ate at the Mead Hall. Food was alright, but I fear that it was a bit too niche of an angle to clue this entry as that
2-Down: I could've done a clue about the streaming box company, yet I felt 67 was funny and related to the youngens better

5-Down: Luna and I both like F1, and I would really like to go to a race weekend with her sometime soon, hopefully not tooooooo soon
34-Down: While MetroCards were useless, I miss them, even though I never really used one and only used OMNY
59-Down: Peep the OREO cluing project

Puzzle #1 - "Startups"

Hello! This is my first puzzle for the blog!1!!!1!! :)

I'm very very very glad to have made a blog with Luna, for not only puzzles, but her art and anything else we decide to post.

This puzzle was just a silly idea that I didn't think would take off anywhere, so I thought, why not put it on a blog!?!? That's exactly what I did. In reality, the theme could be used for any other school, like UCLA or wtv, but this was the first one that I thought of, and it gave me more freedom for better bonus answers. 

HIGHLIGHTS:

Spoilers ahead if you don't wanna be spoiled about the spoilers I'm about to give you regarding the puzzle. And no... NOT a spoiler alert for the movie "Spoiler Alert"

16-Across: I never watched Ali-A, but his old intro was so funny, with the weird 3D text and the Timmy Trumpet song or whatever
19-Across: I love roller coasters. VelociCoaster is my favorite, and the drop after the top hat, is soooooo good. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit the clue.
31-Across: I once had IRONY in a puzzle I submitted to an outlet, with the clue [The Titanic being named an "unsinkable" ship, perhaps]. I love that I can use really obscure or weird clues for IRONY/IRONIC because they are so fun to clue but also a bit of knowledge gained.
65-Across: This guy that I know, Kieran, has like two main characters he plays. Pac-Man and Ness. Each time he plays, he just spams every move possible and doesn't even know how to play strategically. OH WELL
2-Down: DOOM on ALL the Things!

3-Down: Luna and I were on the same drumline in high school, and that's how we met. So putting this in the grid felt very full-circle moment.
6-Down: My cousin got sick with ligma the other day. It was so sad. What's ligma, you may ask???? LIGMA BALLS.. teehee
28-Down: We are both big Nintendo fans, and Luna's like obsessed with the Wii and is like obsessive over all things about it. What a weirdo.
54-Down: All my homies hate the new Mahi-Mahi Resort.
